An entrepreneurship competition is an opportunity where students get together and develop innovative solutions to tackle real world problems.

UpStart will be held on February 5-6, 2022 at Concordia University! We hope to see you there!

UpStart is a 2-day competition, beginning at 9am on Saturday and ending 7pm on Sunday.

It’s free! UpStart is entirely free for all attendees.

Any engineering or computer science student at a University worldwide is eligible to participate.

UpStart will be an in-person event at Concordia University.

Teams will be composed of 4 people. 

No worries! If you don’t have a team, we will pair you up with other participants that have similar interests!

No. In the interest of fairness, participants are not allowed to begin working on their project prior to the start of UpStart. However, feel free to familiarize yourself with all the tools and technologies you intend to use beforehand.

  • Vaccine passport and ID are checked upon arrival.
  • Face masks are mandatory at all times and hand sanitizing is required.
  • Social distancing is enforced.
